The following process was created in order to provide you with the highest quality speech-language-reading services:

My Process

1.  Free Consultation:  I am here for you.  During your free 20-minute video or phone consultation, I will gather information about your child and answer any questions you may have.  It may not be necessary to have a full evaluation at my office.  If, during the past 6 months, your child has had a speech-language evaluation elsewhere and there is a written report, he or she may be able to jump right into treatment.

2.  Evaluation:  I provide in-depth speech, language, and literacy evaluations to determine if your child's performance is at expectation for his/her age and grade level.  My evaluations are customized based upon your areas of concern and the needs of your child.  I use a mixture of standardized as well as non-standardized measures to get a full picture of your child's abilities. The length of your evaluation will vary based upon the number of tests administered and the rate at which your child completes each measure.   About 2 weeks after your evaluation date, you will receive a written report.

3.  Post-Evaluation Conference:  I will review the findings of the assessment with you and answer any questions you may have.

4.  Written Report:  The report will detail the assessment's findings and present specific recommendations.  If speech, language, or literacy therapy is warranted, treatment goals, as well as the recommended frequency of weekly sessions, will be included.

5.  Treatment:  Clients are seen 1 : 1 so that they can move forward at their own pace.  Sessions are 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length depending on your child's goals and needs.

Screenings:  A screening is a brief assessment (approximately 15 to 20 minutes) of a child's speech, language, or reading skills.  Screenings are not meant to identify a disorder but merely determine which students may require further evaluation.  I offer speech, language, and reading screenings at private schools and in office, if requested.
